The Hope Gathering 2020… Cling Life Classes

Naked and Exposed but Not Alone
S H A R O N   S W E A T

Clinging to your freedom by being vulnerable with God
Shame is a spiritual disease that affects every aspect of our lives. In Jesus, we are transformed to be free from shame and guilt but for many, unhealed pain and brokenness will keep our minds in bondage.  God wants us to be free from these negative messages that bind us and cling to Him, instead of running from Him.  This life class will help us embrace the healing and wholeness God provides.
Clinging to God through Anxiety and Depression

Stay close to the Lord while dealing with Mental Health Issues
More now than ever, many are suffering with Anxiety and depression.  God wants us to find freedom from these mental illness that attacks the mind.  This life class will encourage us to stay close to the Lord during times of mental anguish and give us tools on how to focus the mind the way God thinks.

Clinging to God's Companionship through the Holy Spirit
C A R O L Y N   C A R T E R

Understanding the power we have through the Holy Spirit.
Are you tired of shallow faith? Do you long for something more in your relationship with God? All you need to do is open yourself to the gift that God extends to all who call upon the name of the Lord, the Holy Spirit. "The Holy Spirit is deeply at work within you, right at this moment, wherever you are." This life class will help us understand the power of God’s presence through the Holy Spirit.
Clinging to Conversation

Staying connected to the Lord through prayer
God has given us a way to stay connected to Him and it is prayer.  As Christians, we are called to be prayer warriors. Yet, in our prayers, we often struggle to find the words to speak and sometimes feel God is not listening.  But the truth is, God is listening and He answers our prayers.  This life class will show us the importance of developing a vibrant prayer life so that we can stay connected to our Lord.
Clinging to Your True Identity
C H R I S T I A N A   F O R E M A N

Realizing your worth in Jesus Christ
The reality is, we are imperfect.  But the truth is, God loves us!  God wants us to realize that we have irreplaceable worth in Jesus Christ.  This life class will help us see that loves you and transformed you to make a difference for the kingdom.  There is freedom when we know our worth!
Clinging to the Fire
C H R I S T Y   S Y L V E S T E R

The importance of Praise and Worship
At the core of every believer is a desire to worship God.  Yet sometimes circumstances in life will distract us from pure, heartfelt worship.  This life class will practically answer these two questions:  Why do I need to stay close to God in worship?  How we can I cling to the fire of worshipping God?
Cling to God in Your Unforgiveness
S H A W N Y   L E W I S

Confessing and submitting your unforgiveness to the Lord
“Are you compelled to tell your side of the story? Do you fight thoughts of suspicion or distrust?
Are you constantly rehearsing past hurts?  Have you lost hope because of what someone did to you?”

Holding on to unforgiveness, when we have been offended, is a trap Satan uses to keep us out of the will of God.  When we are offended or wrongfully treated, we have freedom to choose how we will react. God wants us to react in a way that reveals His love.  This life class will give us tools to confess and submit our unforgiveness to the Lord.
Cling Before and After the Ring
S A N D R A   C O W T H R A N

The importance of having a relationship with the Lord before marriage and maintaining it after marriage.
“What if God's primary intent for your marriage isn't to make you happy . . . but holy?”  “What if you stopped looking for a “soul mate” and started looking for a “sole mate”—someone who will live out with you the great purpose of God?”

Rather we are married or single, the common denominator is God. Maintaining a thriving, passionate relationship with God will keep us in the center of His will. This life class will reveal how God can use our singleness and our marriage as a discipline to motivate us “to love Him more and reflect the character of His Son.”
Clinging Through the Shift
M I C H E L L E   P O W E L L

Clinging to Jesus through life’s seasons and changes.
Change happens to all of us.  To follow God’s will means that we are willing to change.  “When we follow God's will, we receive blessings of contentment, purpose, and renewed strength.” Yet, change is not easy.  Sometimes it is hard and it hurts.  This life class will give you practical insight on how to cling to Jesus through every life season’s and changes.
Clinging After the Call
C H R I S T Y A N   P E N D E R

How to stay rooted in your relationship with Jesus after salvation.
After salvation, we are immediately placed in the kingdom of God.  As God’s kingdom women, we are to live confident in our call to walk with God in freedom and hopefulness.  A kingdom woman “lives confidently in the knowledge that Christ died and rose for her so that she can experience the significance of the destiny to which she has been called.” This life class will encourage us to stay rooted in our relationship with Jesus after salvation.
