Fallbrook High School Lead Ministry Internship:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
WEEKLY OUTREACH AND DISCIPLESHIP EVENTS FOR YOUTH
Be an active participant in the Brook Youth team that is responsible for developing and facilitating/ teaching weekday (Wednesday Night) and Sunday services with the sole purpose of reaching and discipling students.
•Work with the Youth staff and laity in developing a menu of effective ongoing special events.
•Ensure implementation of organizational structure, strategy and budget to provide youth activities.
•Meet regularly with the Brook Youth team to design and/or implement events focused on the needs of youth and their families.
•Recruit a youth special events team (with youth and adult participation)
•Develop and oversee an accountability system that can assist in obtaining maximum results.
•Develop an effective evangelistic thrust and follow-up of children and their families reached through the ministry.
•Develop and oversee an effective youth conversion follow-up system that allows us to properly determine the level of spiritual understanding of responding youth before they would experience baptism.
•Work with middle school lead to put together monthly e-newsletter with ministry updates and a social media presence.
•Build a parent network
•Outreach and strategic partnerships with local high schools to build recruitment. Campus liaison
•Meet with Director of Operations weekly to assess progress, goals and budget management
YOUTH SUNDAY SCHOOL
Directly responsible for the Youth Sunday School Ministry from 9th -12th grade. Will oversee laity who minister in these areas.
•Teach Sunday school, either 9-10th or 11-12th.
•Oversee and be directly involved in selection (or dismissal) of additional Sunday School teachers to cover areas.
•Oversee and be directly involved in the aggressive ongoing recruitment of new student and adult leadership.
•Be directly involved in training of lay leadership.
•Be directly involved in selection and/or approval of curriculum used in Youth classes.
•Lead the ministry toward effective spiritual and numerical growth.
Other duties as assigned by the Senior and/or Director of Operations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•A mature, strong, and growing relationship with Jesus, heart for the local church, and a passion to use communications as a means of ministry to open doors for Gospel impact.
•Bachelor’s degree
•Must be enrolled in an accredited biblical college or seminary
•Experience within the field (preferred)
•Strong organizational & people skills, creativity, flexibility, self-motivation, and the ability to thrive in a team setting. Ability to work effectively with church members, staff, and volunteers.
•Strong visionary, planning, and organizational skills.
•Able to multi-task and is a self-starter.
